Yes, after 3 weeks of pretty coughing, coughing and being really lousy, it was finally time for me to go underwater again. If it continues like this, Shelley will even catch up with me!
But the weather was nice, a bit overcast and windy but it was absolutely inviting. The first 8 meters was nice and dusty, and I mean really dusty. Visibility may have been 3 meters but all the dust made it difficult to take pictures. Shelley with the Vaquita also suffered greatly.
It is very strange these days how visibility in Vinkeveen is getting worse and worse.
Now, we did hear that last year during the heavy storm the necessary dirty water (containing phosphates and fertilizers) from the surrounding area were let into the lake to prevent flooding in the area.
That could explain why the large plants have disappeared and the filamentous algae are now all over the ground.
Has anyone heard anything about it?
