So, then it was the week of the ONK.
Cottage booked in Bruinisse, stuff packed and then off on Monday.
Unfortunately with a cough, I had a cold for a week already, so I put some para in it, took some nose drops and said “it should be over soon, it’s just a cold”.
Tuesday was then devoted to ” check the cutting.” As if Bergse Diepsluis still has big secrets 🙂
Was equally nice to see old acquaintances there again. And Shelley went into the water solo, my sniveling was just a bit too much. But Wednesday should be fine, which is when the first day of competition begins!
Everything was ready and by Wednesday we were on the waterfront, prostrating and coughing. Shelley put my set at the top of the dike because up the stairs with set? It didn’t look like that at all!
Still, water in and tried to execute my plan. Dive 1 for the ONK is a fact after all.
After a few minutes I found what I wanted first so that went well.
But the longer the dry air from the bottle, the more coughing fits. I managed to stretch it until 2 o’clock, but then, unfortunately, it ran out.
So out and to the car.
Back to cottage, sorted out photos and forwarded to NOB.
Put 2 pieces of meat on the bbq and into bed with the necessary pills and 39 degree fever.
Out of bed the next morning, called family doctor, called car and on home. Then to the family doctor and yes, pneumonia!
So feel free to say dive ban for at least 7 days, ehhhhh I understand that myself.
Last night so me on the couch, Shelley nice and snug in bed so she can at least sleep, because she really doesn’t need to hear my barking for the night.
Because I was on the couch and awake a lot I did have time to take pictures of the thunderstorms. So 3 nice pictures in the album of the week
